You could write more songs in 30 days than you have in the last 5 years with….
The 2012 Songwriters Circle Challenge
Have you fallen into one of the worst traps for song writers?
Let the next Songwriters Circle Challenge help you….
Do you feel you have to wait to be inspired?
That a song will just pop into your head and all you should do is write it down?
If you answered “Yes” to either of these questions you have fallen for one of the most destructive and persistent myths of song-writing.
Most professional songwriters will tell you that is not how it works.
That is not how it worked in the glory days of the Brill Building and it is not how it works now.
For most people, like any other kind of writing, writing songs is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration.
You have to show up.
You have to take actions.
You still need that little spark of inspiration, but why should your muse bother to show up when you don’t?
Kick start your song-writing this coming month. The next Challenge is now open to new applicants so you will be joining a small group starting on Monday October 1st 2012

Why Pay? and how much is it anyway?
The main reason you must pay for this 30 day course is that, sadly, money is a very effective way of getting your brain to pay attention. If you pay for something like a course then you are much more likely to complete it than if you get it for free. The Songwriters Circle Challenge is reasonably priced at just £17.
That is just under 57p a day! Less than a cup of coffee but just enough to get your brain paying attention!
How it works
We will set you small task or learning activity or exercise every day for a whole month, just a little bit each day here on a password protected area of the site. There will be daily videos and posts.
Each task will take you no more than 20 minutes.
We will be here on the site throughout the month to offer additional help and encouragement too.
By the end of 30 days you will have built up 15 hours of solid work on your song writing.
For some people the goal will be simply to finish your first song and to learn some techniques to help you write more.
For other more experienced song-writers the tasks will help you to push your song-writing to the next level.
Song writing is like any other skill, the more you practice it the better you get at it. Thirty days of paying attention will push you to do more than you ever thought possible.
If you are looking for a chance to explore your emotions and feelings in songs, a bank of proven techniques to get your creativity flowing and ways to share your songs with others, join us for October and soon you will be taking your first steps to writing more songs.
