He hasn’t always appreciated it, and it certainly hasn’t worked to his advantage in most romantic relationships—for years it seemed he was destined to attract the wrong type. So the last thing he’d wanted this past spring was to fall for the hunky tattoo artist who moved his shop in next door to Sebastian’s thriving bookstore. Dylan Radamacher, owner of Rad Tattoos, was everything Sebastian loathed. Let’s face it, bookish geeks and counterculture bad boys weren’t made to mix. Something Sebastian knew from painful personal experience. But when Dylan, with his teasing smile, hot, inked body, and come-hither voice, set his sights on Sebastian, determined to prove that some bad boys could be very, very good indeed, Sebastian found the man impossible to resist. For two months things between them have been sinfully spectacular, and Sebastian hates to rock the boat. But the truth is, in spite of his own commitment issues, he’s fallen in love with the sexy tattooist. Dylan, on the other hand, seems determined to avoid the “L” word at all costs. As their relationship shifts toward the serious side, can the guys overcome their fears and take the steps that will bring them the kind of love that lasts a lifetime? Or will their old baggage come back to haunt them and tear them apart for good?...

Dylan Radamacher and Sebastian Keller’s story continues in Under my Skin II by M.L. Rhodes. Once again, I got caught up in these very compellingly sexy heroes’ lives and read this book in one setting. It’s been eight weeks since Sebastian and Dylan have started seriously seeing one another. Both Sebastian and Dylan have been basking in the joy of getting to know one another, and of course, the great sex. They spend every moment they can in one another’s company and have found true happiness with each other.Of course, even with happiness they have found, they still have some problems. Sebastian continues to have nagging doubts about Dylan’s feelings toward him. Because he was burned so badly in the past, he is trying to work through the fear of rejection. The couple of times Sebastian has confessed his love to Dylan, it was received with silence causing Sebastian to worry about Dylan’s true feelings toward him as well.Dylan himself has his own issues. His mother is critically ill, and needs him at her side. Dylan and his mother were abandoned by his father at a very young age, causing Dylan to have some abandonment issues, as well as a need to protect others from harm. Because of Dylan’s mother’s illness, Dylan must be away for several days. This causes both men to examine themselves, each other and the budding relationship that both men desperately want with one another.I loved both Under my Skin and Under my Skin II. Dylan and Sebastian are both compellingly flawed heroes, which I couldn’t help but love. It’s so easy to become addicted to seeing what will become of their relationship, and if they are able to work through all of their own issues to find happiness that they deserve together. 5 stars

I should have known better than to read both stories from this series so soon. I like having weeks, months (sometime a year or three) in between because I have a tendency to pick things apart. I like my HEA to happen and not be fucked with. And if it's fucked with, it better be good. This and Sebastian's HEA two months later, Sebastian's still insecure, Dylan knows this and still walks on eggshells, not being upfront when clearly he knew he needed to be since Sebastian can blow shit out of proportion pretty quick.Which he did.And I borderline didn't give a shite. There was miscommunication drama, it was okay, I guess? Then add in a WTF moment from a blast from the past. (Sidebar: Um...I'm not a professional thief or anything but if you rob once why would you go back to hit the same party? I mean the thief added a spark of something which made me rate slightly higher than what I was going to rate it.)So brief summary: Storeroom Sex. Missing each other. Phone Sex. MANTEARS. Drama. Crime. Happy Sex.2.75 stars

This was a decent follow up to the first story about Sebastian and Dylan.  I'm glad to see them finally get their HEA, but the whole (view spoiler)[stolen car and stalker ex-lover plot was outrageous (hide spoiler)] and I thought it took away from the romance.  Especially since the story was so short.  Anyway, I really like these characters, just wish their story would have been better developed.

2.5 stars rounded down to 2.0It's two months into his relationship with Dylan but Sebastian is still plagued with insecurity because of his traumatic break-up with Beck. Meanwhile, Dylan has fallen hard for Sebastian but is unable to say those three magic words. A 10-day absence from each other while Dylan goes home to care for his sick mom highlights how deeply each of them care for the other but also stirs their individual insecurities. A surprise visit from Sebastian's ex sends things into a tailspin. In the end, Sebastian and Dylan must overcome their issues and dismantle their defenses to get their very own HEA.Ugh. This book was a exercise in frustration for me. I was frustrated with Sebastian's hang ups, doubts, and knee-jerk reaction to run at the slightest hint of trouble (real or perceived). I was frustrated with Dylan's reluctance to say "I love you" to Sebastian even though he so obviously did. I was frustrated that Dylan coddled Sebastian and - in my mind - enabled his bass-ackwards way of thinking. I wanted to like Sebastian and was able to better relate to him in this book than in the last but he remained an unsympathetic character to me. I still love Dylan but wish he would stop cutting Sebastian so much slack. Maybe I'm just in a pissy mood because it's been a bad week but this series was disappointing.Bottom line: a blah finish to a romance that had potential but in the end was ... meh.

4 stars - I read this straight after finishing the first book, and totally loved it. Not quite as good as the first, but still thoroughly enjoyable. I'm also a sucker for a HEA, and this instalment definitely gave us that ;) I loved Dylan, he's such a cutie! I'm so glad someone introduced me to this author - I'm totally addicted now!

Was a fun read but didn't connect as well with the characters in this one than in the first. Can't really say why that was true but didn't:(

To be honest, I really don't feel this should have been a sequel. I don't feel it added anything new to the story. Not even Dylan's mother or Beck were interesting additions. I hated that a large part of the story was a recap of what happened in part one. I read the first book, so I don't need every single detail told to me as if I didn't.I found Sebastian's insecurity annoying, especially when paired with his crap communication with Dylan. I wanted to scream at him "move the fuck on already!" Dylan was sweet, but kinda boring overall. Joanie was almost someone I wanted to know about. Ums and ums2 are not badly written (though sometimes they are long winded and I feel like I'm being told the story not shown) they just didn't live up to my expectations.

3.5 starsThe second installment handles a more "emotional" issue regarding Sebastian's insecurity and Dylan's inability to say the three words. I think it is slightly better than the first book. Sometimes I feel annoyed with Sebastian's doubting Dylan all the time -- but then again, I never really crashed and burned like he is. Besides, Dylan has been holding back from saying "I love you" as well. I LOVE Dylan's scene with his mother. It's always a good feel of reading something positive in parents-son relationship an M/M romance. I'm not sure whether the return of Sebastian's low-life ex, Beck, is necessary BUT maybe it helps pushing the two in the right direction ....

A nice continuation of the first book. Sebastian and Dylan have been together for two months and all is going well. Except for the fact that, even though Sebastian has said the words, Dylan hasn't told him that he loves him. Sebastian is still plagued with the insecurities left by his last breakup and he can't help but worry that Dylan might not feel the same way as him. There was a little bonus drama in this story that I wasn't expecting that made everything come together even better. A very hot and quick read. It was a good way to spend the afternoon.

Wish this had been one book together with part 1. I really wanted more Sebastian and Dylan so I bought this as soon as I saw it. They are great characters but this follow up didn't do a lot for me. Oh well, on to the next one.

Nice follow up novella. I did not feel it really needed the drama that occurred at the end because the guys were making their own angst in trying to get on the same page...however, I still enjoyed this one and the MCs.

synopsis:bastian and dylan have been dating for a couple of months. bastian has said "i love you" a couple of times and dylan hasn't responded. bastian's insecurities from his previous relationships, especially his last one, are surfacing, and he doesn't think that he's worthy of being loved. dylan has to leave to be with his mother, and on an early morning conversation, dylan asks bastian to move in. bastian is leary, especially since he says the L word again with no response. dylan, meanwhile, has his own issues to deal with, because his father left his mother and she only told dylan the good parts she wanted him to hear, so he associates love with pain. when dylan gets back to town early, he is surprised at his house by bastian's ex, who wants more money from bastian.what i liked: the growth in relationship between bastian and dylan. i liked that they were still working through their issues, because they had only been together a couple of months. i also liked that they were still getting to know one another. dylan and his mother had a good relationship, and i liked bastian's with his best friend.what i didn't like: bastian seemed like superman: runs his own business, a specialized business with a narrow spectrum and is wildly successful, is a black belt in karate, etc, etc. first of all, how could his self-esteem be low? karate instills confidence as part of the training; children and people with low self-esteem are put in karate classes because of that reason, not as a way to learn to protect themselves. secondly, dylan asked him to move in. whether or not he actually says the "love" word, it's a definite sign of commitment. he's not asking to move in with bastian, he's opening himself up for rejection.

Great Follow-upThis was a great follow-up to Under My Skin. We see Sebastian and Dylan several months later, happy in their relationship, with just a few emotional bumps along the way. Spending days at their respective stores, side by side in the Mall and nights together, both are itching to move to the next level of the relationship. But Dylan is having a hard time expressing his feeling and fears he is going too fast and then pulls back again, which leave Sebastian feeling still somewhat unsure of where they are headed and how serious Dylan is about their future. With things heating up between them every chance they get, there is no shortage of hot, sexy moments with these two. It was interesting that this time, there was a twist in the story I wasn't expecting and the outcome gave the characters and the reader both a little more detail of Sebastian history. Overall, a fun, sexy read without all the angst, which is something I can always look forward to with M.L. Rhodes' stories!

I was a bit disappointed. So, where to begin...Dylan is not able to say to Sebastian that he loves him, even if, in my opinion, he repeatedly shows to Sebastian that he cares about him. It's Sebastian the one reaching out in this book, but it seems he is not able to overcome his past relationship, he needs to hear from Dylan "I love you". As I said before, I think Dylan showed to Sebastian that he loved him, he told him they could move together, so I felt that Sebastian was a bit childish, too angsty. I liked Dylan's chat with his mom, how she prompted him to make things right with Sebastian.I think the bad-ex-lover part of the plot was a bit unnecessary and unrealistic. I think the author could have found a different way to bring back the dreaded ex, less stalkerish, I mean, I can't believe Sebastian had fallen in love with such a criminal psycho! Sometimes authors exaggerate a little bit. It's a pity.

In this sequel to Under My Skin, Dylan and Sebastian have been dating for about 8 weeks. I enjoyed this story even more even though it was still a little too short for me. The reason I enjoyed it more is because there was a little more plot development in this story and the MCs have to deal with a little external conflict as well as working through some relationship angst. The angst was minimal because, as in the first story, the book was too short to draw out any conflict in too much detail. The resolutions must come quickly when you're working with less than 100 pages.I liked Sebastian and Dylan even more in this book and I am happy my boys got their HEA.

First my wallet: Under My Skin & Under My Skin II were really one book that was split into two to make money. Now the books: This was a fun read they need to both be read together to get the whole story. Rhodes created two gentlemen who were good for each other. There were so surprises but it was a solid read.

As I said with the review for part 1, I had ordered this one before I finished 1, so clearly I liked the characters enough that I wanted to know what happened! The first part was how they start, the second part was where do they go from there, complete with misunderstandings, assumptions, break ups, make ups, and the infamous, how will it end???I really liked these two stories and would recommend them (I'm always recommending like I'm reviewing on Amazon or something....I have to work on that!!!)

I still really enjoyed the chemistry between Dylan and Sebastian in this sequel. I thought the author did a great job bringing these two together while not losing their true essence as characters and focused a lot on Dylan's insecurities this time around. I could have lived without the jerk coming back and reinforcing the fear in Sebastian but glad it ended well. Really enjoyed this. Wish I could have more of these guys. The stories were too short for me.

This is the sequel to Under My Skin. I really enjoyed this continuation of Sebastian and Dylan's story. It showed how their relationship had developed after a couple of months and took it further to a HEA (happily ever after) ending. I thought it was great that Dylan made his decision before the big climactic incident near the end.

This was the second book in the series and I enjoyed this book as much as the first.Dylan and Sebastian have been together for a couple of months. Sebastian is afraid that Dylan doesn't want to commit as he hasn't said I love you yet.The two are parted when Dylan goes home to look after his mom when she has t have some tests. After talking to her, he realizes he does love Seb. However, when he gets home he is attacked by Beck, Seb's ex.All is well in the end and the guys do get their HEA.

This is pretty much a wash-rinse-repeat of the first Under My Skin. This follows the same MCs, Dylan and Sebastian, after they have fallen in love. Not a bad continuation all in all...the angsting seems a bit overdone, and the appearance of the old boyfriend is kinda contrived (although also exciting), but overall a pretty hot and harmless way to spend a little reading time.3.5 stars, rounding up to 4.

A good 2nd installment in this series. It really solidified their relationship and dealt with some of the issues that were still plaguing them.WOuld have liked to have them together for more of the book and the big danger in the story seemed a little out of the blue, plus the car theft seemed like an odd thing to include since it didn't really fit in to the story, which was why it was only 4 stars instead of 5. But still a good story.

Sebastien and Dylan are back and seem to still be dealing with Bastian's insecurities. But it seems that Dylan's holding back a bit as well. But with some wise counsel and a near tragedy they maybe be finally heading toward a HEA after all.

This was very fast...felt more like 50 pages rather than 134. This was a nice revisit...but nothing really special. It didn't really add any more to the story, other than the words I love you. Still, it was nice to see the boys again.
