Translation? Don’t piss off his dramatic, self-absorbed daughter, Danica, even if she’s a nightmare to live with.Falling in love with her cousin’s rock star ex-boyfriend was definitely not part of the plan. As the drummer of a now-famous rock band, Mike Madden could have any girl he wants. He’s sweet, funny, romantic, talented—and the only guy that’s ever made Hailey’s heart do cartwheels in her chest. The more she gets to know him, the harder she falls, but Hailey knows they can never be more than friends… because Danica wants him back, and she’ll fight dirty to win.Mike is falling for Hailey too, but Danica’s threats and his rock star life—music video shoots, international tours, obsessed fans—could tear them apart before they’ve even begun. Hailey isn’t sure she’s the one for him, but Mike’s waited years for a girl like her… and he’ll do anything to prove it....

Please tell me that this book is going to be about Mike and Danica's best friend (the one with the short auburn hair and is 5'1" tall!)I will be so upset if it's about Mike and Danica. Mike (who's been my favorite out of all four of them since book 1) deserves a girl who won't treat him like shit.

***4 "SPARKS!!!" stars***I was waiting such a long time for this certain story....I really loved the previous three books and I couldn't wait to learn more about sweet and kind, Mike!!!He deserved to take his HEA as well, but the things weren't so easy after all!!!!You see, Mike was hunging up to his highschool sweetheart and he was refusing to go on with his love life... He was focused only in his drums, his music and his video games...And then, one day, Danica came back into his life and he tried to reheat this old romance but she wasn't the same person anymore and he was catching himself to drown toward another woman, a woman forbidden to him...Hailey was focused to her plan...She had to bare living with Danika and to take easy her constant insults, in order to finish college and be the woman that she always dreamt about...It never was a part of the plan to fall in love with her cousin's boyfriend, but it was inevitable to happen...Mike and Hailey fought this attraction between them, but it wasn't an easy task...What will happen between them???Will Mike realize who really is Danika??? Will he fight to be with Hailey???And will Hailey break the girl code, not to be with her cousin's boyfriend???But Hailey has another one problem... if Danika wants she could ruin her future!!!So what Hailey will choose??? Her future or her heart???I really liked both Hailey and Mike....Mike was too good for a guy, especially since he was a rock star!!! You know how these guys are usually!!!!And Hailey was such a wonderful and kind girl, but damn, I couldn't understand why she had to endure all those shitty things by Danika...If you didn't realize it, i fiercely hated Danika!!!!God, this girl was such a bitch!!!! An evil witch!!!! Arrrr.....

If you love rock stars, drama, angst, and falling in love with a sweet guy – this is the book for YOU!!In the fourth book of the Mayhem series by Jamie Shaw, Mike Madden finally got his happily ever after.Poor Mike fell in love with Danika, his ex-girlfirend, in High School and wasn’t able to shake her memory until they finally met again years later. Mike was such a sweet guy that he felt he had to give Danika a second chance, just to see if his memory of her matched the girl in front of him. It DIDN’T!!!Danika’s cousin Hailey Harper on the other hand was as sweet and down to earth as they come. Hailey and Mike liked each other from the very first moment they met, and soon enough they found out that they had quite a few things in common. Nightly game marathon’s, late night texts and phone calls brought them even closer together. Both were funny, and genuinely good people. And their gaming nights were epic!!!Hailey felt guilty that she was relying on her rich cousin and her guilt made her vulnerable to Danika’s machinations. She got pulled more than once into awkward that forced her to chose sites just because she couldn’t deny Danika. With a friend like Danika, Hailey really didn’t need any more enemies.Mike was such a sweetie, a really good guy, extremely loving and caring. He didn’t really embody the rock star persona, he was more like a big, hottie of a teddy bear. One I wouldn’t mind to cuddle up to.I also loved catching up with the old crew. And the girl gang was as awesome as ever and Hailey fit perfectly in, she just had to learn how to put her foot down in regards to Danika.I did feel like Hailey should have used the word NO more often. She also was a bit too insecure for my taste, and too easily blinded by her cousins scheming. I tend to connect more with strong heroines, and unfortunately Hailey was missing the extra oomph.3.5 starsARC generously provided in exchange for an honest review. For more of my reviews:My Blog: Happily Ever AfterFacebook Blog PageTwitterSubscribe to Blog

Fazit"The Last Ones to Know - Rock my Dreams" hat mir sehr gut gefallen.

Originally posted at Booklovers For LifeY’all, the wait for Mike book is FINALLY over!!! If you’re a fan of this series (it’s new adult rock star romances, how can you not be a fan), then you know Havoc has been a long time coming. Well, Mike’s book is finally here and trust me, you don’t want to miss it. It’s honestly the sweetest book of the series, because it’s got the sweetest hero of the series. Mike will melt your heart – I promise that if you read this book, you will fall head over heels for him like I did!“I could be on the other side of the universe, Hailey, and it wouldn’t keep me from you.”Going into this, I was a bit wary because I’m not a fan of books with heroes who are still hung up on their exes. I can’t stand when a hero has feelings for someone other than the heroine… but Havoc is definitely an exception to this pet peeve of mine. Mike is still not over the ex who broke his heart years ago, but when Danica shows up again with her cousin Hailey, he gets the chance to decide whether he wants closure or another chance. Except there’s one complication, in the form of kind-hearted, adorable, geeky Hailey Harper.“… I don’t want anyone else. I only want you. I’m thankful every day that I fell for the wrong girl, because it led me to the right one. it was always meant to be you.”Hailey has always been overshadowed by her gorgeous, manipulative cousin, but for once in her life, she has something that even Danica can’t touch or ruin – her friendship with Mike. Hailey and Mike become fast, close friends, bonding over late night texts, jokes, and games. I adored the way their friendship developed so sweetly and genuinely. They are adorable together!! But soon enough, Hailey ends up falling for her cousin’s ex, who still wants to get back with him. She feels guilty, but Mike is one of the few things that is precious to her. There’s a lot of back and forth between Hailey feeling guilty and pushing Mike away to her wanting nothing more than to be with him forever. It gets a little dragged out, but once she decides to fight for her man, all bets are off.“I would’ve waited my whole life for you, Hailey. It’s always been you.”If you’re worried about how Mike feels about Danica, like I was, don’t worry. From early on in the book, Mike decides there’s only one girl for him, and that’s Hailey Harper. Hailey is just a little oblivious about ;). But once Mike sets his sights on her, there’s nothing that can keep him from winning her over and making her believe that there’s no one for him but her. Can you see why Mike is the sweetest hero out of all the boys in The Last Ones to Know!?I adored this book. After the rough start in the beginning, it wasn’t hard to fall in love Mike and Hailey’s story. Danica is a total beyotch, but thankfully she didn’t ruin the book with her manipulative ways. Mike’s sweet and dirty talking ways totally made up for her. I love this new adult rock star series, and if you love either new adult or rock star books, I highly recommend picking this one up. It’s fun, flirty, and sweet – but I’m so sad the series is over! You can check out other reviews on my blog: 911 What's your emergency?Well it's pretty simple actually, I'm dying to reads this.*clears throat*So, my means of expressing how excited I am to read this was perhaps cheesy, but I am so bloody excited for this.Mike is the most adorable character, and if you dot believe me then here a quote from him, explaining why he doesn't want to sleep with groupies:"Look... when I meet my wife, I don't want to have to explain to her why I slept with a hundred chicks before I met her, okay?"Don't get me wrong, the other guys from the band were all pretty great, but Mike is the kind of guy I would actually like to date. He's a kind-hearted and considerate guy, so much so that he worries about the feelings of a future wife he hasn't met yet.It makes me want to cuddle him.I'm assuming he's going to be paired with Hailey, as her cousin is an absolute piece of work and a relationship with her is unacceptable in my eyes. Mike deserves better, way better. And Hailey seems the perfect fit for Mike: she loves videogames, and seems like a nice girl.Over & Out, T xx

I have loved the other books in this series, so requesting it was a sure thing. Love love loved Hailey and Mike. They're absolutely adorable together and their chemistry is off the charts. They're both genuinely nice people, so it was easy to root for them. The rest of the band was in the book and it was delightful to see them all again. Yes, the plot line is exactly what you would expect. I'll admit Hailey's constant second guessing and berating her looks got so so so old, but Jamie writes a good story. I knew there was a HEA on the horizon, I just had to wait for Hailey to get her act together. And trust me, the epilogue doesn't disappoint. My main complaint is that this is the last book of the series. I might just have to start at the beginning. **Huge thanks to Avon Impulse and Edelweiss for providing the arc free of charge**

Knappe 4 Sterne.

Find This and Other Reviews At Craves The Angst.Havoc is book four in the Mayhem series and is a New Adult, Rocker Romance written by Jamie Shaw. I was gifted a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review through Tasty Book Tours.5 “Mike owns my heart!” Stars!HAVOC is sexy, heartfelt, devastatingly sweet and utterly romantic! It’s everything and so much more. Perfect characters, perfect story, PERFECT READ!The Review:This series just got better and better as each book was released. I absolutely adored Adam in book one. He made me fall in love with rock stories all over again. I have enjoyed each hot, delicious member of “The Last Ones to Know” as each guy had a unique and consuming story. But Mike... oh Mike, you fan-tabulous, soul searing, heart throbbing, panty-melting star! I LOVED your story the most and trust me, after Adam, I didn't think that was going to be possible. With easy and fun banter, butterfly inducing angsts and a sincere story, this read has, without a doubt, gone into “one of my all time favorites” pile and I know I’ll be rereading it over and over again.Story/Characters...Hailey Harper moved from her family's meager farm to the big city to attend Mayfield University, hoping to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. Her cousin, Danica, got the ball rolling in having her rich father finance her and Hailey’s tuition and living arrangements, after she realized her high school sweetheart, Mike, drummer for The Last Ones to Know, was living in the area and just signed with a huge record label. Danica is on a mission to rekindle her past lovers heart in the hopes of cashing in on his newfound fame. Hailey just wants to go to school, keep her head down for the next two years and avoid her pernicious cousin as best as she can. She doesn’t expect one innocent night with her cousin’s boyfriend, to change everything for her.Mike Madden has a simple vision of his future. To play the drums and have a sweet, long lasting love like the rest of his band mates. When Danica walks back into his life trying to rekindle the past, he wants to see if the girl who broke his heart years ago, lives up to the memory. But on the other side of Danica’s pretentious, fame seeking self is the sweetest, coolest chick he’s ever met.Online gaming, friendly texts and late night phone calls cement Mike’s feelings but fame, distance and a heartless cousin/ex girlfriend stand in the way of Mike and Hailey’s budding relationship.I can’t tell you how much I LOVED Mike Madden. He’s always been the quiet one, sitting in the background of his band mates stories, watching, waiting, supporting his friends and keeping his nose clean. In this book, Mike was unleashed on us readers and HOLY HELL was he Ahhhh-Maze-Ing! He was so freaking SWEET. So caring. So humble and down to earth and SO REAL! And HOT!! So incredibly HOT! I never expected his dirty talk in the bedroom or his sexual prowess to be so ... HOT! Did I mention he was hot? Cuz he totally was!Hailey was gentle, sweet and humble herself. She was a beautiful heroine with a solid grasp on reality and infinite love for her hardworking family. She was also very insecure about herself and her worth. All her doubt poured off the pages in one touching scene after another. Normally, indecision is a trait that would annoy me in a heroine, but the author did a fabulous job in portraying just the right amount of self doubt and lack of confidence without over doing it, so that my heart broke for Hailey and all that she went through. She was such a good person. In contrast, Danica was a hateful, hurtful person who took every opportunity to chip away at Hailey’s self confidence. Hailey’s financial situation, her simple life and her ambitious goals made her perfect prey for the cruel things her cousin, who used to be Hailey’s best friend, said to her. I wanted to strangle Danica on multiple occasions!Along with the angsts, this book was filled with emotional highs! Every time Mike and Hailey were in a scene together, I couldn’t shake the huge, sappy grin on my face and by the end of the book, my cheeks were sore and my thoughts were consumed with all the “feels” I just experienced. The Wrap Up:There are very few times I actually stand up and cheer the ending of a book, but I totally did in this one. The last couple of chapters added an additional high to my already elevated emotions. I LOVED how this book ended. In addition to the beautiful romance between Mike and Hailey, I also very much loved all the interaction with the rest of the band members. It was wonderful reading how far they’ve all come. With a signing deal and plenty of fame, I enjoyed knowing all their hard work was paying off and their dream was coming true. Each of those yummy boys have full hearts with their sexy, intelligent, caring women at their side. And that epilogue?? Just PERFECT! Such an amazing read with a phenomenal story and fabulous characters.

OMG. This book. SERIOUSLY. THIS BOOK! THE FEELS!You don’t know how difficult it was to even get this book. Yes, the blog signed up for the blog tour to review it, but there were issues and delays getting access to the book and at one point, I thought it was a lost cause. I love this series, so while I was disappointed, I always intended to read this book, so it wasn’t like I was never going to get it. But low and behold, I finally got a review copy. I started it immediately, and was instantly in love with this book. I know I’ve said it in the past about books, but I seriously love friends-to-lovers books. This one was no exception. I loved seeing Mike and Hailey become friends. I loved their conversations, the way they’d play videogames together, how he got to know her brother and became friends with him. I loved how he would wish Hailey sweet dreams every night. I loved their friendship. I loved the connection that developed between them. And I loved the moment that Hailey realized she had a crush on him. She decided to do the right thing and walk away. Was it easy…no. But she did it. But Hailey was also a good person, and when she heard he was sick, she went to check on him. I have to say that I loved the scenes where she took care of him. They were so sweet! Add in the moment when Mike told her exactly how he felt about her….I was swooning. There was a literal AWWWWW moment when he told her. And don’t get me started on their long distance date. That was just the sweetest thing ever. And it was a perfect date. You really can’t get any better than a pizza date. I also fell in love with Phoenix. I got a little nervous for her at one point and had to put the book down and walk away for about an hour. I couldn’t have handled it if something had happened to her. I was beyond happy when Hailey took her home to Mike’s house. That dog was meant to be theirs. As to be expected….I hated Danika. She was truly awful (the author did a great job with that!). I hated the way she kept blackmailing Hailey and threatening her. And all the snide comments, trying to break Hailey down and make her doubt Mike…let’s just say I haven’t hated a character this much in a LONG time. Being pushed off a cliff onto sharp rocks would be to good for her. She deserved much worse! This book gave me a serious case of the feels. I loved every moment of it. I seriously couldn’t put it down. I’m actually extremely jealous that my bff got to meet the author at a book signing last year. Yes, she picked up a book for me, and while I love it, it’s not the same! It is now my mission to meet her and get this book signed. I shall up my author stalking game and make this happen!

This is such a romantic book! I absolutely love Jamie's voice--she grabs you from the first line and holds onto you until the very end. And Mike? Gah. She describes him perfectly, He's a fairy tale prince in a rock star's body. I loved this book!

This was the absolutely, most amazing ending to one of the greatest "New Adult"-series' I've ever read. Mike was one of the most charming, romantic, sexy and heart-meltingly perfect boyfriends which I ever had the pleasure of meeting. *pun intended*Hailey and he seemed so perfect for each other. At the end of this book, I just wanted to kick Danica to the moon and leave her there to burst, what a b***h! I feel so happy for the whole story, along with the individuality with which each book was written gave me so much joy that I am equally sad that this series is over, but also glad that I had the opportunity to read this series! I hope Jamie Shaw publishes so much more, because I can't get enough of her!5/5 stars

"Rock my Dreams" ist der vierte und gleichzeitig der letzte Teil der „The Last Ones to Know“-Reihe, was mein kleines Fanherz schon arg angeknackst hat.

Wow. I am not sure how to eloquently put into words how much I FUCKING LOVE JAMIE SHAW. Seriously. She writes the men of my dreams and Mike is no exception.I have to mention that I have been reading this series as the books are released... which means I have had to wait months and in this case A YEAR for the next book. Normally, I would have lost interest. I would have moved onto another author, binged all of their books, and totally forgotten about whatever alpha male love interest I had just read about. Not with The Mayhem Series. I seriously live and die for these books. Everything about them pulls me in and I lose all track of my sense of time while reading them. That being said... MIKE IS EVERYTHING.I had known since reading MAYHEM that I would fall super hard for Mike. It was inevitable. After his line about not wanting to explain to his future wife all of the women he had slept with in the past, I was DONE. That's all it took. Suffice to say that I had super high expectations for him and his book, but Jamie exceeded all of them. Hailey was so sweet and so relatable. She was a real person to me. I wanted to be her friend as much as I wanted Mike to be my boyfriend (which was A LOT hahaha) and I think that is what make Jamie's books so special. She finds a way to make her characters fully dimensional without being too over the top which allows you to become emotionally invested. This book was perfect. Sexy, Funny, Sweet. It quite literally had it all (and no im not just saying that because there were dogs and pizza; my two favorite things) I am so sad that this series is over but I know that whatever Jamie does next will knock my socks off. She is the full package and her writing proves it. A must read.

Romantic perfection! I seriously can't remember the last book that swept me away as quickly or as thoroughly as this one. Hailey is my spirit heroine. Spunky and sensitive, she is vulnerably insecure yet has this incredible heart for love. Mike is the sexiest, sweetest, most relatable hero I've read in a long, LONG time. I officially declare him my book boyfriend of 2016! HAVOC will leave you wearing a huge, sappy reader's smile and believing in the power of true love. I highly recommend this, and the entire MAYHEM series, for anyone looking for an enthralling love story that is equal parts humor and heart. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A great book! One of my favorites of the series. I loved Mike from the beginning of the series, and he was such a sweetheart in his own book.

My Thoughts:I am a huge fan of all of the guys in the fictional band, The Last Ones to Know! I have swooned excessively over Adam, Joel, Shawn, and Mike. They all are my favorites for different reasons. These guys are genuine heart throbs, and if you want a romantic, steamy, slow-burning love story, the Mayhem Series should be at the top of your TBR list! Ms. Shaw knows how to build up the sexual tension between her main characters to the point where you feel like you can't take it for one more second, but when they finally do fulfill their desires for one another, your heart feels like it's pounding right out of your chest, you see bright fireworks explode, hear music playing in the background, and can't wipe the cheesy grin off of your face. As a reader, this is the ultimate transcendent experience. It is when you feel one with the main character, and as if every moment that they experience, is happening to you simultaneously! The Mayhem Series is my favorite rockstar series. Every time I think that this series couldn't possibly be as amazing as I remember, I pick up the next book, fall in love all over again and become obsessed with the story. In Havoc, we get the drummer Mike Madden's love story. Mike is the proverbial good guy. He is a gentleman. Mike is beyond thoughtful, attentive, caring, compassionate, loyal, and down to earth. He is always going out of his way for others, and pays attention to what people like, how they are feeling, and then continuously does sweet, small, considerate gestures. While originally Adam, Joel, and Shawn were okay messing around with groupies, and not wanting to settle down, Mike has never messed around and has wanted to find the right girl to love and settle down with. Unfortunately, he's been hung up on the memory of the high school ex-girlfriend that broke his heart; beautiful, spoiled, narcissistic and self-absorbed, Danica. Now that the Last Ones to Know have gotten a record deal and are becoming famous, Danica decides that she wants Mike back. Really, she would be good with any of the band members, but Adam, Joel, and Shawn can't stand her. Plus, they are all madly in love with their significant others; Rowan, Dee, and Kit. So Danica decides to move to Mike's town and brings along her sweet, selfless, soft spoken, poor, loving, easily pushed around cousin, Hailey. Danica's father is wealthy and offers to pay for both girls college tuition, school books, housing, living expenses, etc. This is a dream come true for Hailey, who is a hard worker and has always wanted to become a veterinarian. Hailey's parents could never afford to pay for her college, and even with scholarships and working full-time, she would not be able to attend. So while Danica bosses Hailey around and is verbally abusive, she takes it, because if she makes her cousin mad, she's sure her uncle will stop funding her education. Danica always gets what she wants and has her parents and everyone else wrapped around her little finger. Her good looks, fake tears, and superior acting skills have never let her down before. When Danica drags Hailey to club Mayhem to help her get Mike back, it isn't her scene. She can acknowledge that Mike is hot, but has no interest in any guy that would be interested in her horrible cousin. However, things change that night when Mike and Danica hook up, and after Danica falls asleep, spend several hours talking, laughing, playing video games and drinking a few beers. Pretty soon, Mike and Hailey's friendship begins to blossom and they become best of friends (without Danica becoming aware of just how close they've grown.) Danica's true colors begin to show, and before long, it's obvious that even Mike realizes she is not a good person. However, Hailey could never pursue a relationship with Mike, no matter how she feels about him. She would lose her dream of becoming a veterinarian and knows that it would be wrong to be with him after he was with Danica (even if her cousin treated him poorly, and just wanted him for his new rockstar status.) However, Can true love be denied?Havoc was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I can't remember the last time I turned the pages on my Kindle so quickly. The further I got in to the story, the more frantic I became to finish it and see how everything was going to end, but also the sadder I became, because I did not want it to end. The ending was perfect! It made me swoon, and I was blissfully satisfied! My Rating:As you can see, I became obsessed with Havoc. I just can't stop gushing and I know my review is way too long, but I fell in love. I fell in love with Mike. I fell in love with Hailey. I fell in love with them as individuals and as the perfect dream couple. I fell in love all over again with Adam, Ro, Joel, Dee, Shawn, Kit, and the best Fairy Godfriend ever, Leti! 5 I'm Hooked, Cannot Put My Kindle Down, Obsessed, Hot, Romantic, I'm Swooning (Please help me up,) Filled Stars!!!*To Read More book reviews, visit http://www.abookishescape.com

5 Stars - 3 Flames I've literally been obsessing over this book since I started it yesterday. I ignored my kids. I ignored my husband. I ignored my house. And I apparently ignored my sleep because I was up at 4am, dying to know how this ends. And you know what? I can't stop smiling. I feel like I've been waiting forever to read Mike's story. But the saying is true. The best things come to those who wait.Mike (sigh). Amazing, Awesome, Caring, Giving, Mike. The drummer. The one who's always in the background, giving the advice or lending a shoulder. Finally gets his HEA...While returning to his tour bus after a show, Mike's ex-girlfriend Danica literally appears out of nowhere. You might remember reading about her in the previous book(s). She's the one who ripped his heart out after a four year relationship in high school. But now that the band has "made it", she wants him back. Well...she wants the fame. So what's the issue? Besides the fact that she's absolutely nuts? Danica's cousin and roommate Hailey.Hailey is the complete opposite of Danica. She's down to earth. Loves animals. Cares for others and is always a peacemaker. After being forced to into going to a concert and then stalking the band backstage, Hailey finds herself alone on the tour bus once Danica finds Mike. But when Mike returns to the bus without Danica, Hailey can sense that she's not the only one who's been "dealing" with her cousin. In fact, Hailey's been forced to do a lot of things these last few months because Danica's daddy pays for everything Hailey has, including her family farm back home. So when a friendship builds between Hailey and Mike, and sparks start to fly between them, decisions have to be made and they are not easy. This isn't a love triangle story. This is more of a bully, getting what she wants until everyone's had enough kind of story. At first, I wanted to rip Mike's head off, but when he explains his reasons for giving Danica a try, I totally get it. Then I wanted to rip Danica's head off. Mainly because she's the epitome of a witch (you know that's supposed to be a b, right?). Then I wanted to rip Hailey's head off for not sticking up for herself. Damn the feels this book gives me!!! But it's all good. It. Is. All. Good. This book was very well written and put together. Everything was timed perfectly and I was sooooooooooo giddy when we got to experience Leti some more. Gotta love that fairy godfriend.I'm over the moon that Mike gets his HEA. Yeah, I'm happy for Hailey too, but lets face it. This series is about the band. And the fact that the boys all get HEA's with kick ass chicks and kick ass friends, just proves how much this series kicks ass. Sad it's over. But glad I have them to re-read, over and over and over again.*I received this book from the Jeep Diva in exchange for my honest opinion.
