Forever with Him Reviews
I’ve loved this couple since the first book, Breathless for Him, surprised me with the tale of people from opposite worlds coming together in a beautiful, suspenseful journey to love. And to get to share one more story with them, my favorite one of them all, feels bittersweet. On the cusp of her ultimate happiness, Allegra Orsini is ready for the next stage in her life. With her debut at the Met on the horizon, as well as her wedding to the love of her life, Davison Cabot Berkeley upcoming, it seems all of her dreams are finally, deservedly being realized. But dreams can become nightmares in the blink of an eye and when everything changes for Allegra, she starts to pull away. From her music. From her friends. From Davison. Will he be able to pull her from her pit of despair, or will he lose her forever? As I said, I love this couple. As ever, Davison and Allegra are a strong, loving, sexy couple that I just want to see do well, succeed and be happy. I love the way they are with one another, honest and open (mostly) and the first part of this book was so joyful, I couldn’t help smiling through most of it. And swooning. Oh, and thigh-clenching, because yeah…there’s some gooooood stuff here on that front! *wink*And then, things changed… Sofia Tate, who has improved with each book in this series, handled Allegra’s life-changing event with compassion and enough drama to make those smiles turn immediately upside down. My heart bled a little for Allegra, and for Davison, and I felt like Ms. Tate was on point with both of their reactions to the situation. This couple has been through a lot – and I have been through a lot with them – but Forever with Him was a great ending to their story. It was a quick read, not always an easy one, and one I am both happy and sad to have finished. Forever is what they’ve earned, but saying goodbye is hard. ~ Beth, 5 stars
I had a sense of dread and bittersweet with this book. I fell in love with Davison and Allegra’s story and I don’t want it to end. What a journey this couple have been on and you won’t be able to guess what happens in this book. I’m still shocked by the turn of events and I had the pleasure of working as a beta reader. What I like most about the characters is their strength. Davison is strong but he’s a gentleman. Don’t get me wrong. If Sofia wrote more about his business world, we’d see a completely different side of him but we are shown the awesome side. The loving side. The man that cherishes his woman and gives her space to be herself. Allegra is a fantastic heroine. She’s equally strong, she’s not be given anything without working for it and she plays off Davison beautifully. Sofia’s writing style gets stronger with every book and her wit shines through when Ashton makes a reappearance.Like I said – sad to see this series end but I’m super excited to see what else Sofia has up her sleeve to show the world. This is an author you need to watch.I was given a copy of this book for my honest opinion.www.karensbookhaven.com
I totally enjoyed this book! This is a sexy, funny series by the talented author Sofia Tate. I did not want Allegra and Davison story to end but Sofia Tate totally brought their story to end with a nice twist filled with drama, hotness, of course their is humor that always has me giggling while reading her books.I was smiling like a fool while reading this book and then half way thru it, I totally did a reverse and was grabbing the tissues. Damn! Did not see that coming! Well played Sofia. Allegra just hit me like a ton of bricks with her changes. I wasn't expecting her to go that route but it made sense. She is such a well written female heroine. I really loved how she worked hard for everything she got in her life: her passion for her music career, loving a man who adores her, finding herself. Davison is a man who you can't resist, and I could not resist him in this series. His love for Allegra was just soo pure and raw. I loved it! And when it came to their unions together.... HOT!!! Be prepared to get that Trenta cup of Ice water to cool you down.Go get this whole series and fall in love with this couple like I did!I am looking forward to reading more books from Sofia!Make sure to follow her and keep up to date with upcoming reads.**ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review** 4 Cherries Popped
Review originally posted at Ramblings From This ChickForever with Him is the third book in Davison and Allegra's journey from author Sofia Tate. I have really loved these two since I first read about them, and this was a bittersweet book for me. While I loved getting more of them and seeing how things ended, I wasn't ready to say goodbye to them either. Sofia Tate did a great job though, and I could not have been happier with the ending to their story. If you haven't read this series yet, you will want to start at the beginning with Breathless for Him. Things finally appear to be falling into place for both Allegra and Davison. Davison is starting a new business after the fallout from his father's business scandal, he is engaged to Allegra, and Allegra's career is taking off as well. As they prepare for their wedding, they know that they can get through anything as long as they are together. But when everything suddenly changes with one heartbreaking moment, Allegra and Davison will have to fight harder than ever for a life that is no longer the one they envisioned. As Allegra withdraws from everything and everyone, Davison will stop at nothing to show her that she belongs with him always. This book had its ups and downs when it came to Allegra and Davison, but the one thing that never changed was their love for each other. Their love and connection was so special and strong, it was always what carried them through even the toughest of times. I loved seeing them plan their lives together and finally get the ending they deserved. Then when tragedy struck and everything changed, it was the constant support and unconditional love that pulled them through. These two are one of the greatest couples I have ever read about, and their relationship is unlike any other I have ever seen before. Seeing them here just reinforced everything I have come to know and love about them, and I can honestly say that I will truly miss them. They are definitely one of those couples that I will have to go back and read in order to get my fix from time to time. So while I am sad to see their journey come to an end, I am also really happy with where things ended. They might not be living the exact life that they pictured, and yet they ended up exactly where they were supposed to. I love that they were able to lean on each other and that their life was one filled with love and happiness even if it took them somewhere unexpected. Sofia Tate is a great writer, and I was so happy to see that she didn't rely on something predictable for drama or conflict here. This story felt very natural and real, and the conflict was one that was heartbreaking but not impossible to overcome. I also loved getting more of the secondary characters here, and seeing their evolution as well. Some that I had strongly disliked before made huge leaps here, and while I was suspicious at first it really seemed as though they had changed. I loved that Sofia was able to redeem them and change my entire opinion about them. I cannot tell you how excited I am that she is writing a novella for Tomas and Lucy! I loved seeing them in this book, and I am very interested to see more of them as their story unfolds. I highly recommend this series, and I think that fans of romance will fall in love with Davison and Allegra just like I did. This series is not to be missed, and I am looking forward to more from Sofia Tate in the future.**ARC Provided by Publisher**
Review can be read at It's About The BookLast night, this short, dreamy confection of a story swooped in and took me away into a world so far from mine it was like a fairy tale! I was in a New York I’ve never seen–with beautiful opera singers, international jet setters, big-city financial brokers–and living in a lifestyle I could never imagine. But that’s why I read, and this book was a perfect escape. Thanks so much, Sofia Tate!In the first book in this series, Breathless for Him, Allegra and Davison meet while she’s working as a coat check girl at Le Bistro, and in the second book Devoted to You, she went and trained in Italy with a famous opera singer. I haven’t read either of the previous two books, but I was able to catch on very easily to what was happening. But I’m really intrigued because of some things they mention about Davison’s ex-girlfriend–so I’m going to check them out!Allegra Orsini is a beautiful native New Yorker who’s got a whole lot of fabulous going on in her life right now. She’s getting married to the man she adores and she is also having her debut with the Metropolitan Opera. I loved her stories about her dad and his butcher shop–it helped make the story more believable to me. The author also humanized Davison a lot by having him “think” about issues with his father and explain why his mother lived in the building with him. He wasn’t just a caricature of a “rich person;” you could see his anger at his dad and his need for stability. The writing is fun and bright–with enough story line to develop both the characters and the plot. There’s intrigue, as Davison, the male lead, is trying to rebuild a company after his father trashed the family name with scandal. There was definitely danger in the previous novels when Alli was kidnapped, and you still can feel the repercussions when both Davison and her friend Lucy think about it. And there’s heartbreak in this one as well, as Allegra faces sad news about her future as an opera singer. There’s everything you want in your romance without the angst and cliffhangers.Sofia Tate combines beautiful characters, sweet heat and intriguing plots–perfecting the short romance novel that satisfies all the senses. If you’re looking for a great vacation or beach read, this series is a sure bet!
I fell in love with Davison on chapter 1 of Breathless for him (book 1) last year. I re-read it and those feelings haven't changed a bit. I love this two. I love Davison more, obviously, but I love Allegra too. They make a very nice couple: gazillionaire, gentleman and good man with an humble, down-to-earth, opera singer with a hard past. They complement each other perfectly. She makes him happy, he makes her more confident with each passing day and makes her happy too.I cried with this book. Maybe because I read the 3 books in a row I was more sensitive than normal. Or maybe, and I go with this option, this book touched me deeper than the previous books. Mona's (Davison's mom) letter to Allegra was the first thing to make me cry. Then the whole thing with the Met and the voice, and the perfect future not happening anymore (sorry, can't say much without spoilers). This part broke my heart. It was so sad. Sooooo sad. And because of this part of the book, I fell in love more with Davison. Didn't think that was possible but yes, it happened. This book is a roller coaster of emotions. Book 1 and 2 built the road to a happily ever after but then comes book 3 and everything is perfect until it isn't anymore. Allegra's reaction to the new reality broke my heart. I just wanted to pull Davison out of the book and give him a hug when he was so lost as Allegra. She needed that hug even more but I prefer to give my love to the man (sorry...not sorry).I loved how the story ended. All the ups and downs and unexpected turns led to that and I loved it. It was a great ending for the story. This was a quick read but I made it last as long as I could. It's hard and sad to say goodbye. And then there's the epilogue. My ovaries just melted there! I loved it!!! ** Thanks to netgalley, the publisher and Sofia Tate for the arc **
4 StarsI was given this book for my honest reviewHe pivots to me to stare at me full-on. “Baby, I don’t have to see you to know you’re near me. I just know.”AllegraAllegra-pretty, smart Davidson-hunkyThis is the 3rd book in this series and really needs to be read in orderAllegra and Davidson’s journey is romantic and sexy as all get out. With turmoil that both have been through in the past this book finally comes to a close with these two characters. We are devilled into the heartbreak not of just one but of both. This scary turmoil will leave both with a sliver of breakage within the circle but combined with the strength that family and the love that they have for each other the circle will be mended and life will be forever changed. The sex between this couple is like being in a hot tub on a cool Fall night. The water just as hot and soothing with just the right amount of steam coming off the top it is just a wondrous moment in time. The author was amazing with this conclusion to this couple but what I didn’t get was the constant of using of their nicknames. It was scream worthy for me at times. None the less I really enjoyed this book with a twist or two in the making it was a most awesome delight. To the readers please sit back and be prepared to take a read like no other. Screaming towel is a must for all.Happy Reading
I received a digital ARC of this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Author Sofia Tate brings her tale of the love story between billionaire Davison Berkley and budding opera star Allegra Orsini to a satisfying conclusion with this third installment, Forever with Him.Overcoming obstacles in the first two books, Breathless for Him and Devoted to Him, Davison and Allegra are on the path to their well-earned happily-ever-after. Needless to say, this would have been a very short book (and not very interesting too boot) if Davison and Allegra were able to enjoy their newlywed status. There are several threads running through the story that could have caused any number of troubles for the protagonists, especially in relation to Davison’s work and Allegra’s growing commitments. I was pleased the author chose something unexpected to challenge this couple. Conflict was faced with understanding and honesty – no misunderstandings or contrived discord. Loose ends were wrapped up nicely and it’s easy to imagine Allegra and Davison curled up together, enjoying music and each other, long after the events of this series.
Davison Cabot Berkeley is starting all over again. He’s building a company that’s all his own and finally claiming the woman of his dreams. Everything seems to be falling into place. But he’s about to find out that life has a way of proving that happiness comes at a very high price. Allegra Orsini has never felt so complete in all of her life. Now with a promising career and a husband that she can’t stand to be away from, she’s on the verge of having it all. So when tragedy threatens to take it away, will she find the strength to go on in her love for Davison or will she stand by and watch it all crumble to the ground?Sofia certainly saved the best for last! In Forever With Him, she brings Allegra and Davison full circle with equal amounts of exquisite heat and tenderness. And the ending!! I was swooning for hours after I turned the last page. This series really has it all and it delivers nothing short of perfection…
