And Marc McAllister was just the man—and werewolf—to help her do it.But when Marc realizes Heather's flirty behavior exists solely so she can exploit werewolves in her newspaper, he decides it's time to show little Miss Graham exactly how a werewolf behaves. And Marc McAllister isn't just any werewolf, but purebred Cariboo Lunewulf—wild, strong, aggressive and the quintessential alpha male.In a clash of wills, bodies and souls, Marc and Heather set off enough sparks to start a raging fire. I love reading books from Ellora's Cave the books are always naughty and they keep my attention. Marc he has some pretty big balls, "he held her head so she couldn't move, forcing her to look into the deepest pools of blue she'd ever seen. She could drown in his eyes. "So are you interested only in how we celebrate death? Or do all our rituals fascinate you?" He's bluntly honest, "little b****es who run alone are often looking for a quick eff in the woods," he whispered, his breath scorching her skin. "is that what you want, little one?" Heather quickly figures out that all her man needs is her to feel better, "I plan on being a hell of a lot better than this here real soon," he told her, his c*** so damned hard that it pressed against the restraint of his boxers." I loved the possessiveness that he has, "get in bed." Instead of holding her, he simply crossed his arms, watching while she climbed into his bed and pulled the cover over her. Mine! His body hardened once again with the knowledge that he had no desire to ever let her go." I love the werewolf stories Ellora's Cave publishes you get lost in the books and when it ends you didn't want to leave the story.

1.5Oh man, this was bad. It's only avoiding a one star because I laughed a lot. (There was very little deliberate humor in it.) It was basically just a thin veneer of plot to allow for lots and lots of sex that essentially started the moment the man characters met. But hey, it's Ellora's Cave and that's practically their business model. So, I can't say I went in unaware. I happen to occasionally like that sort of book in a "I'm laughing with you, not at you sort of way."Unfortunately, the sex wasn't that great. The writing was extremely repetitive, with the same stock words/phrases being used again and again and again and again, sometimes more than once within the same paragraph, and the same information being provided over and over. The characters never really lived up to their description; the book depending on that description to give them life, instead of providing proof. Plus, I thought Marc was a jerk. Lastly, the copyediting needed a bit more work and it contradicted itself.

I had a hard time with the first part of the book. Suspending belief over her actions often times caused a head scratcher for me. I've been a reporter and I sure wouldn't have done that! But I have to say I got this book for research purposes and did find some good information in it. (I'm writing a Yeti shifter story and the female love interest is a reporter). From a writer's point of view, the sexuality in the book takes chances. It's edgy. He partially shifts during lovemaking. It might bring you closer to the shifter storyline so many readers love. But keep in mind most publishers shy away from that sort of thing. I too, am contemplating Yeti sex, but in a self-pubbed antho where anything goes.I enjoyed the rest of the shifter characters and would love to read their stories. I hope for some hot M/M in future books.

This book is steamy hot, and well written. I enjoyed it cover to cover. The building romance wasn't instant but the connection was. I love the way Lorie created the two worlds and merged them. If werewolves were really i think it would probably go much the same way as the detailed worked Lorie created. while i know Lorie and i may be a bit biest it doesn't take from the fact that i genuinely enjoy her novels and have reread this series as well as her others many times. Another hit Lorie! I own this book (it's signed) and have read it a few times now. Would totally recommend to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance novels that actually have a storyline to them!

At the beginning of the story, Heather was a hellbent on getting an inside scoop on the werewolves. The way she went about spying on them, stalking them, confronting mothers with children etc. made me seriously dislike her and also think she was way to stupid to live. Who in there right mind stalks a werewolf cop, and not just any werewolf cop, Marc our hero who isn't a plain werewolf, he's a cariboo lune wolf, a larger and far more aggressive breed. The story turned into a story about bigotry on both sides. I would have liked it more, but Heather was just such so dumb and I couldn't get past that.

As much as I love me a good alpha wolf, I love when that alpha meets his match even more. Marc is one hell of an alpha, too. He may not be alpha of the pack, which causes its own issues, but he is all dominating male. Heather is a reporter out to write the article of her career, on werewolves, when she literally runs into the irritating man. She is equally turned on and confused about her desire for the bossy brute. Unfortunately, both the pack and the humans object to their relationship, making their love seem even more impossible. I would definitely read more from this author.

I loved the story .I just wished it was longer and was a little more sporadic about calling her a Bitch .* This is what these wolves call their female mates .Not ment in a badway ,but still annoying the way it's platered around in the book.

Ok read. I thought that if the author had added a little more emphasis on the romance and less sex I would have given this a higher rating. As it was I was tired of reading '[email protected], cu**, f*ck, c*ck' as the main words of every sentence.
