Sleepy Bunny - A Nap Time Tail Reviews
Sleepy Bunny is a cute little tale about a young bunny that would much rather sleep the day away and enjoy his wonderful dreams than join his family on their picnic. The book is written in rhyming verse that will delight young children. The story reminds us that no matter how imaginative and wonderful our dream life might be, real life is much better. The pictures in Sleepy Bunny are beautifully drawn and painted with bright colours. Children will love them. This will be a book that will be read over and over again. If my children were young, I would definitely read this book with them.I would highly recommend this book to families with young children. I gave Sleepy Bunny 5 stars out of 5.Thank you to the publisher for providing a copy of the book in exchange for a fair and honest review. A positive opinion was not required. All thoughts are my own. This review was originally posted on Shelf Full of Books http://kathrynsshelffullofbooks.blogs...
Sleepy Bunny is a story about a bunny that would rather sleep and dream than spend time with his family. The story tells of all the dreams the bunny might have until the dream gets out of control and the bunny finds there is a limit to how much sleeping one should do.The story is written in rhyme and is perfect for children. It is light and fun to read while having a very good message for all ages. The author’s purpose is to convey the need to balance living with sleeping because too much of one thing can be harmful. The little bunny learns this lesson when one of his dreams leads him to believe his family has abandoned him. He wakes to find his mother consoling him and discovers being with his family, instead of sleeping, would be a good idea after all. Any child who has difficulty getting out of my bed might find this book appealing. This is offered in an e-book format.
This was a fun book to share with my niece and nephew! Sleepy Bunny had colorful and imaginative artwork which captured the children's attention and the story left them laughing. I also liked the fact that the moral of the story was easy for the children to grasp. The rhyming pattern in this book reminds me of Dr. Suess which is a helpful aid when teaching children how to read. Bravo on a great children's book!
